Overview
Nanites are tiny robots, invisible to the naked eye, able to act directly at the cellular level. Used well, they repair a body, cure a disease, extend a life.
Prodigious medicine, bordering on magic.
History
But nanites have a dark side: they are what the Replicators are made of, and what Nirrti uses for her monstrous experiments. Programmed to harm, they become a weapon of terrifying precision.
Nanites embody the double-edged nature of advanced technology: the same tool can save a life or destroy it from within. It all depends on who's at the controls.
