The staff of the Priors of the Ori, both a weapon and a catalyst for their supernatural powers. The Prior staff is the scepter of imposed faith, the tool of the Ori crusade.
Overview
The Priors, those fanatical missionaries of the Ori, all carry a staff topped with a stone. Far more than an ornament: it is both a weapon capable of striking people down and a catalyst for their almost magical powers.
An object that inspires both reverence and terror among converted peoples.
History
With their staffs, the Priors work wonders: healings, punishments, apparent miracles, everything needed to establish the religion of the Ori through fear and awe.
The Prior staff embodies the Ori's most effective weapon: not brute force, but imposed faith, that mix of fear and fascination that drives entire worlds to kneel before false gods.
