The Sangraal

Builder: Merlin (an Ancient)
Target: Ascended beings
Legend: The Holy Grail

The legendary weapon devised by Merlin to destroy ascended beings, the Ori among them. The Sangraal is Stargate's Holy Grail: a weapon capable of killing gods.

Overview

The Sangraal is Merlin's ultimate creation: a weapon capable of destroying ascended beings, those entities of pure energy like the Ori. To protect it, Merlin hid it behind a whole web of legends, those of the Grail and the Arthurian quest.

A weapon so dangerous it was better hidden from the world.

History

Against the Ori, whom nothing seems able to stop, the Sangraal becomes the galaxy's last hope. SG-1 sets out on a true quest to find it and use it.

The Sangraal embodies one of the saga's finest tricks: turning our oldest myths, the Grail, Merlin, Arthur, into the key to a cosmic war. A weapon to kill gods, born of a legend.
