Who needs to land when you've got the rings? This technology sends up a series of glowing rings that dematerialize a person and reassemble them somewhere else. The Goa'uld's version of teleportation, and the best friend of a discreet entrance.
Overview
The way it works is spectacular. Five rings shoot up from the floor or down from the ceiling, wrap you in a flash of light, and set you down on another aligned platform, sometimes miles away, sometimes in orbit. All in a split second. It's fast, reliable and incredibly handy in the field.
Its story
Rings are fitted on Goa'uld Ha'taks, Tel'taks and many other ships. For SG-1 and their enemies alike, they're the ideal tool for infiltrations, lightning rescues and hasty getaways. Many of the show's boldest plans hinge on a well-timed jump through the rings.
