- Disables their bonds
The weapon designed to destroy the Replicators by breaking apart their blocks from a distance. At last, a way to bring down the enemy no bullet could stop.
Overview
For a long time the Replicators were invulnerable: bullets only scattered them into blocks that immediately reassembled. It took understanding how they work to design a weapon capable of breaking the bonds holding their components together.
One beam, and the creature collapses into inert pieces.
History
The problem with the Replicators is that they adapt: the moment a weapon threatens them, they evolve to resist it. Every victory is only temporary.
This weapon embodies the desperate struggle against an enemy that learns from its defeats. Against the Replicators, finding a weakness isn't enough: you have to keep finding new ones.
