That's us. "Tau'ri" is what the Goa'uld call the humans of Earth: those of the first world, the cradle of humanity. A species everyone thought insignificant, and which is about to upend the balance of the entire galaxy.
Overview
In the Stargate universe, Earth is no ordinary world. It's where humanity came from, before being scattered by the Goa'uld across thousands of planets. To the peoples of the galaxy, Earth is almost a myth: the world of origin, lost and forgotten. And one day, that world opens its gate again.
Their story
At first, no one takes the Tau'ri seriously. A primitive species, with no fleet and no advanced technology. Big mistake. Through daring, cunning and a whole lot of nerve, the people of Earth defeat System Lords, inherit the knowledge of the Asgard and the Ancients, and establish themselves as a power that the whole galaxy ends up respecting, or fearing.
