Anubis's super-soldiers: warriors without fear, without mercy, and almost impossible to kill.
Overview
The Kull warriors are Anubis's ultimate weapon. Soldiers manufactured from scratch, encased in black armor, who feel neither fear nor pain and obey without the slightest hesitation. On the battlefield, they change everything: you can't frighten them, reason with them, or barely even stop them.
Their story
Anubis doesn't recruit his best soldiers, he creates them. From cloned, soulless bodies into which he places a symbiote, he mass-produces perfect warriors: unkillable, tireless, utterly devoted. An army that can be produced at will and sacrificed without the slightest remorse.
Against them, conventional weapons are practically useless. Earth has to develop a special device, a purpose-built weapon, just to have a hope of bringing them down. That shows what a technological leap the Kull represent in the long war against the Goa'uld.
Where the other System Lords rely on Jaffa who can doubt, hesitate or even rebel, Anubis has a force that will never ask a single question. And that's exactly what makes them so terrifying.
Origins
The Kull touch on an old fantasy, and an equally old fear: the perfect soldier. The warrior without a conscience, built to kill, who could be produced endlessly and sent into battle without a second thought.
That dream is no pure science fiction invention. Since antiquity, armies have sought to enhance their fighters' abilities, once with substances, today through research into the "enhanced soldier." Defense agencies are seriously exploring genetic modification, brain-machine interfaces, and resistance to pain and fatigue, to the point that the ethical question of the super-soldier is now being asked for real.
By giving the Kull the look of black steel golems, Stargate pushes that fantasy to its most chilling conclusion: the total dehumanization of war, where the fighter is nothing more than a soulless weapon.
