Our planet, as seen from the stars. To the Goa'uld, it's the first world, the cradle from which all of humanity was scattered. To the galaxy, it was long a primitive, unimportant world. What a mistake.
Overview
In the Stargate universe, Earth has a unique status: it's where humanity comes from, before being seeded across thousands of worlds by the Goa'uld. Long cut off from the rest of the galaxy, forgotten, it becomes a major player again the day the Stargate is reopened beneath a mountain in Colorado and the Stargate program is born.
History
At first, nobody would bet a dime on Earth. A backward species, no fleet, no technology. And then everything speeds up. Within a few years, the Tau'ri master their enemies' weapons, inherit the knowledge of the Asgard and the Ancients, and build their own ships. From a mere world once enslaved by Ra, Earth becomes a power the whole galaxy ends up respecting.
