The Pegasus Project is episode 3 of season 10 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2006.
Next stop, Atlantis: Daniel and Vala search the Ancient database while Mitchell, Carter and McKay attempt a cosmic billiards shot, collapsing the Ori supergate by connecting its wormhole to a black hole in Pegasus. Between McKay's wisecracks, a Wraith in the wrong place and an explosion calibrated to a hair, the craziest plan of the year works almost too well.
Why it matters to the mythology
The big crossover with Atlantis: the supergate is neutralized for a time, and Morgan Le Fay gives Daniel his first real clues about the Sangraal.
The review
The crossover both series deserved: every character is in their element, McKay and Carter resume their ego ping-pong as if they'd never parted, and the black-hole-versus-supergate plan is premium Stargate, absurd on paper, exhilarating on screen. The appearance of Morgan, a guardian who bends the rules of the ascended, relaunches the Grail quest with class. A treat from start to finish.
