Insiders is episode 4 of season 10 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2006.
A Ba'al clone surrenders to the SGC, then a second, then twelve: all swear they're the original, all want the same thing, to use Earth to eliminate the competition. The plan backfires when the clones escape inside the base: the galaxy's most devious enemy is roaming the corridors in a pack, and he knows every protocol by heart.
Why it matters to the mythology
The Ba'als get their hands on Earth's gate list: the loot will come in handy later, and Ba'al in the plural becomes an official problem.
The review
Twelve Cliff Simons for the price of one: the episode fully embraces the absurdity of the situation, a meeting of clones congratulating each other included, and the actor's mocking charisma turns every scene into a recital. Beneath the comedy, the takeover of the base is handled like a real thriller, and the Ba'als' final victory, leaving with the data they came for, reminds us that you never really win against him. Them. Whatever. Delicious.
