Uninvited is episode 5 of season 10 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2006.
While Landry imposes a diplomatic fishing weekend on Mitchell at O'Neill's cabin, an invisible creature is working its way up the food chain around them: a parasite that came through the gate is turning local animals into mutant predators. The fishing trip turns into a forest siege, rifle in hand and radio dead.
Why it matters to the mythology
A standalone episode: fallout from Sodan cloaking technology, and a rare glimpse of Landry away from his desk.
The review
Monster of the week, cabin edition: mist, forest, claws off screen; the series treats itself to an unpretentious old-school creature feature. The real interest lies elsewhere, in the Landry-Mitchell duo forced into fishing and confidences, with Beau Bridges savoring every line as a grumpy general in a plaid shirt. The beast plot could fit on a camping towel, but the atmosphere redeems the whole. Pleasant, no more.
