The torturer in Ba'al's service, charged with breaking prisoners in his dungeons. Terok is the everyday cruelty of Goa'uld henchmen, played by a film veteran.
Overview
Terok is a Jaffa in the service of the System Lord Ba'al, tasked with his master's dirty work. We meet him in his most sinister role: the executioner charged with torturing prisoners in Ba'al's dungeons.
His story
Where Ba'al orchestrates evil with panache, Terok carries it out with remorseless brutality. He embodies the anonymous cog in the Goa'uld machine, the one who inflicts pain on command.
His cruelty toward the captives, Jacob Carter among them, makes him a hateful figure, on a par with the terror Ba'al's prisons inspire. Terok is a reminder that the System Lords' power also rests on a host of zealous torturers.
The actor
Terok is played by Paul Koslo, a German-born actor with a long Hollywood career playing villains, seen in classics such as The Omega Man alongside Charlton Heston. He gives the Jaffa torturer an unsettling presence.
