First Prime of the venerable Lord Yu, a warrior loyal to the very end. Oshu is Jaffa fidelity in the service of an aging master, caught between honor and duty.
Overview
Oshu is the First Prime of the System Lord Yu, one of the oldest and most respected of the Goa'uld lords. A warrior of unfailing loyalty, he serves his master with a devotion that commands respect.
His story
Oshu's situation is a singular one: Yu, very old, is slowly losing his mind, and it falls to his faithful First Prime to preserve his master's authority, even if that means covering up his lapses.
Unlike other Jaffa, Oshu does not rebel, out of honor as much as affection. He embodies a different kind of Jaffa loyalty, not blind fanaticism but a clear-eyed faithfulness to an old lord he refuses to abandon.
The actor
Oshu is played by Kevan Ohtsji, a Canadian actor. He gives Yu's First Prime a quiet dignity, that of an honorable servant.
