Overview
Skaara is the kid from Abydos who wanted to fight. The spark of the revolt from the very first film and Sha're's younger brother, he will meet a horrific fate: becoming the living prison of a false god, the Goa'uld Klorel.
History
On Abydos, Skaara is a spirited teenager, one of the first to believe in O'Neill and Daniel Jackson and to take up arms against Ra. He's a symbol of hope, the youth who refuses to bow down.
But his courage comes at a terrible price. Abducted by Apophis, he is made host to the symbiote Klorel, the Goa'uld's own son. Skaara then becomes a heartbreaking figure: a friend imprisoned in his own body, who must be fought without being killed, as long as there's any hope of saving him.
His ordeal will come to an end, thanks to the intervention of the Tollan, who finally free him from the symbiote. Skaara gets his life back, scarred but free, one of the few to have escaped the clutches of the false god who lived inside him.
The actor
Skaara is Alexis Cruz. Born in the Bronx in 1974, of Puerto Rican descent, the actor holds a special place in the franchise's history: along with Erick Avari, he is one of only two performers to appear in both the 1994 Stargate film and the SG-1 series.
He plays not only Skaara but also his evil double, the Goa'uld Klorel, which gives him one of the richest roles in the saga: the innocent and the monster, in one and the same body.
