A true Ancient, come back to reclaim the city the humans were occupying. Helia reminded everyone, through one heartbreaking choice, that Atlantis never really belonged to Earth.
Overview
Helia is an Ancient, a member of the race that built Atlantis before fleeing the galaxy thousands of years earlier. She returns aboard a ship, at the head of a small group of survivors, to take back possession of her ancestors' city.
Her story
Her return confronts the human team with a terrible crisis of conscience: the city rightfully belongs to the Ancients, and the Earthlings have to leave it. But Helia and her people, cut off from their own history, underestimate the Wraith threat still lurking.
Their restored reign is short-lived, and the city nearly falls. Helia embodies the grandeur and fragility of the Ancients: beings almost divine in their knowledge, but sometimes helpless in the face of the brutal reality of a galaxy they had abandoned.
