The Battle of the Supergate
The day the Ori poured in
- Location
- In front of the Supergate
- Coalition
- Earth, Free Jaffa, Tok'ra, Lucian Alliance
- Outcome
- Crushing defeat, Ori invasion begins
One of the worst defeats in the galaxy. To bring their fleet into the Milky Way, the Ori build a Supergate. A desperate coalition gathers to stop them at the exit, and is crushed. It marks the beginning of the crusade of Origin in our galaxy.
Overview
Facing the Ori threat, yesterday's enemies set their quarrels aside. Earth ships, the Free Jaffa fleet, the Tok'ra and even the Lucian Alliance take up position in front of the Supergate to stop the first Ori ships from coming through. A motley armada, carried by the somewhat crazy hope of holding the line.
History
The hope does not last. The Ori ships are overwhelmingly powerful, almost invulnerable. The coalition is swept aside, the fleet decimated. It is a disaster, and above all a warning: the war against the Ori will not be won by force of arms. Something else will have to be found, and fast.
