- Asgard capital
The capital of a dying people. Othala, in the distant Ida galaxy, is the homeworld of the Asgard and the seat of their council. It's from here that they watched over the galaxy, and here that their twilight plays out.
Overview
Othala is the center of the Asgard world. Their High Council sits here, and their great decisions are made here. From this faraway planet, they protected countless worlds, waged their war against the Replicators, and reached out to Earth. It's the discreet seat of one of the greatest powers in the universe.
History
But Othala is also bound up with the end of the Asgard. Eaten away by the degeneration caused by cloning, doomed despite all their science, they know their people are nearing the end. The fate of their homeworld follows that of their species. And their final act, from this home, will be to pass all their knowledge on to Earth, so that nothing is lost.
