What if Destiny's crew had founded an entire civilization without knowing it? That's the mind-bending story of Novus. Through a time accident, past versions of the crew colonized this world two thousand years ago. Their descendants, the Novans, are still there.
Overview
The story of Novus makes your head spin. Because of a jump through time, an alternate version of Destiny's crew ended up thrown two thousand years into the past, onto this planet. Rather than die, they built an entire civilization there, in tribute to those they had left behind. The people of Novus, the Novans, are their direct descendants.
History
Centuries later, the present-day crew discovers Novus and realizes, deeply shaken, that they're looking at the work of their own doubles. But the world is dying, made unstable by the forces threatening it, and the Novans have to flee to other skies. This encounter with an impossible lineage is one of the emotional high points of Stargate Universe: proof that, even lost at the far end of the universe, Destiny's crew left a mark, a life, a legacy.
