The Slavic System Lord
- Series
- SG-1
- Species
- Goa'uld (System Lord)

A Goa'uld lord modeled on a Slavic fire deity, Svarog sat at the summit of the System Lords, one more warrior on the long list of the galaxy's false gods.
Overview
Svarog takes his name from Slavic mythology, where it refers to a smith and sun god. Among the Goa'uld, he is just one more System Lord, hungry for conquest and jealous of his rank.
His story
We glimpse him at the System Lords summit, that tense gathering where the Goa'uld lords try to come to terms in the face of a common threat. Like the others, he plays the game of alliances and betrayals to preserve his domain.
Svarog doesn't escape the fate of his caste. The war waged by Anubis, then the fall of the entire Goa'uld empire, sweep away these lords who believed themselves eternal.
