A minor Goa'uld lord, Mot had the misfortune of crossing Ba'al's path at the worst possible moment. His name remains tied to the way the System Lords devoured one another.
Overview
Mot takes his name from a Canaanite deity of death and barrenness. Among the Goa'uld, he holds a modest rank, far from the glory of the greatest lords.
His story
His story comes down to a betrayal. As the Goa'uld empire tears itself apart, Mot gets caught up in the maneuvers of Ba'al, who eliminates him without a second thought to tighten his grip a little more.
This low-key fate says a lot about the Goa'uld universe: a world of self-proclaimed gods where loyalty counts for nothing, and where even a lord can be swept aside with the back of a hand.
