Emily Young

Emily Young is the wife of Colonel Everett Young, Destiny's military commander. Left behind on Earth, she sees her already fragile marriage put to the ultimate test: a separation on the scale of the universe.

Thanks to the Ancients' communication stones, Young can briefly return to Earth, in someone else's body, to see Emily. But these ghostly reunions, in which he doesn't even have his own face, mostly underline the gulf that separates them.

Between reproach, guilt and stubborn love, their relationship illustrates the human cost of the Destiny adventure. Emily embodies all the loved ones left behind, condemned to love someone absent, lost somewhere in the cosmos.

Emily is played by Ona Grauer, an actress who had already been through the franchise: years earlier, she played the Ancient Ayiana in SG-1. One face for two women separated by millions of years.
