Resurrection is episode 19 of season 7 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2003.
In a clandestine NID lab, the team discovers Anna, a young woman created in a test tube: a hybrid carrying the genetic memory of the Goa'uld Sekhmet, awakened by a scientist overtaken by his ambition. Between the bomb hidden in the complex and the fragments of a goddess surfacing in Anna's mind, the race against time doubles as a moral trial.
Why it matters to the mythology
A standalone episode: the NID's toxic legacy, lab edition, and Goa'uld genetic memory pushed to its seediest extreme.
The review
A basement episode with a late-X-Files flavor, whose real success is Anna, a tragic guinea pig torn between her new humanity and the monster etched in her genes. The parallel with Cassandra is obvious and deliberate, only darker: here, no rescue is possible, just a dignity snatched at the last moment. The bomb plot is filler, but the portrait of the creature is worth a look. Minor, but not unworthy.
