Disclosure is episode 17 of season 6 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2002.
Earth has a warship, interstellar enemies and an ever heavier secret: the time has come to tell the other great powers. In a Pentagon conference room, representatives of China, France and the United Kingdom discover seven years of the Stargate program, of averted invasions and state lies. Kinsey is lurking, his appetite whetted.
Why it matters to the mythology
Disclosure to the great powers changes the program's geopolitics and sets up the international oversight committee to come.
The review
A conference episode, literally: men in suits around a table, and yet it's captivating. Watching diplomats absorb seven seasons of revelations in a single meeting offers a delicious recap-induced vertigo, and Kinsey's maneuver to wrest the program from the Air Force gives this hushed theater a real villain. Thor's arrival as the final diplomatic argument is one of the series' best moves. Talky and brilliant.
