Show and Tell is episode 20 of season 2 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 1998.
A child emerges from the gate, alone, and calls O'Neill by name: his mother, invisible to the naked eye, belongs to the Reetou, a people exterminated by the Goa'uld. A rebel Reetou faction has decided that the best way to defeat the false gods is to eliminate their potential hosts: all of humanity. The mother and child have come to warn Earth of the coming massacre.
Why it matters to the mythology
The Reetou and the transphase detectors will stay in the series' arsenal; little Charlie, meanwhile, goes to live with the Tok'ra.

The review
A brilliant idea for an enemy, invisible terrorists with ruthless logic, and an emotional wrapping that's just as strong: this little boy created to serve as a messenger, clinging to O'Neill like the father he never had, reopens the Charlie wound without ever naming it. The firefight against invisible opponents is surprisingly tense for its time. It just lacks a bit of scope to be a great episode.
