A world that looks like the Mongolian steppe, home to tribes of nomadic horsemen, the Shavadai. SG-1 lands in the middle of a culture clash, and Samantha Carter is about to shake up a society where women have no say.
Overview
On Simarka, life is lived on horseback and under tents, following warrior traditions from Earth's distant past. The Shavadai are descended from humans brought there centuries ago.
History
When Carter finds herself treated as a nobody because of her sex, the encounter turns into a cultural standoff. Simarka is Stargate using another world to question our own.
