A society that found a chilling way to deal with the Wraith: feed them its prisoners, so the rest of the population is spared. A pact with the devil, on the scale of a whole world.
Overview
On Olesia, criminals are banished to an island and left to the Wraith during their attacks. For the leaders, it's the price of survival. For the condemned, it's a death sentence in disguise.
History
When the Atlantis expedition gets involved, it runs into a brutal moral dilemma. Olesia forces us to ask how far a people can go, and whom it's willing to sacrifice, to buy itself peace and quiet.
