A one-way ticket into the unknown. The Atlantis expedition is an international team sent to take control of the city of the Ancients, in a faraway galaxy. When they set out, they don't even know if they'll ever be able to come home.
Overview
Leaving for Atlantis means leaving everything behind. Civilians and military personnel from several nations set out for Pegasus, a galaxy no human has ever explored, with no guarantee of return. They inherit a magnificent but unknown city, along with all its secrets. It's adventure in its purest form: a group of pioneers, alone, at distances the mind struggles to grasp.
History
Cut off from Earth, the expedition has to handle everything itself: explore, negotiate with unknown peoples, and above all survive the Wraith. No immediate reinforcements, no safety net. It's a microcosm of humanity flung to the far reaches of the universe, learning to fend for itself. And that's what gives Atlantis its very special flavor: a mix of wonder and constant danger.
