A cynical smuggler who, beneath his drunkard's exterior, hides the leader of a resistance against the Ori. Seevis is the reluctant hero, played by a genre cinema legend.
Overview
Seevis lives on a world under the Ori's thumb, seemingly just a cynical, alcoholic tavern keeper. But behind that mask hides the true leader of a resistance network against the Priors and their imposed religion.
His story
On the worlds conquered by the Ori, the slightest dissent is punishable by death. Yet Seevis leads, in the shadows, a quiet but very real fight against oppression.
His cynicism hides unsuspected courage and integrity. Seevis embodies the resistance fighters in the shadows, those who, without glory or speeches, refuse to bow to the false gods, and remind us that no tyranny ever fully stamps out rebellion.
The actor
Seevis is played by Michael Ironside, a towering figure of genre cinema, unforgettable as the villain in Total Recall or the sergeant in Starship Troopers, and the legendary voice of agent Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell games. His mere presence gives the character a rugged depth.
