The commander of the Apollo, one of Earth's warships deployed to Pegasus. Ellis is Earth's firepower coming to Atlantis's rescue.
Overview
Colonel Abraham Ellis is the commander of the Apollo, one of the newest warships in Earth's fleet. A blunt and determined officer, he brings Atlantis serious military backing in the war against the Wraith and the Asurans.
His story
Ellis is not one to dither: a believer in muscular solutions, he doesn't hesitate to advocate the hard line against the threats of Pegasus, even if it means clashing with the expedition's views.
At the helm of the Apollo, he takes part in several decisive battles. Ellis embodies Earth's military rise, now able to send its ships to the far end of the universe to defend Atlantis.
The actor
Ellis is played by Michael Beach, an American actor with an impressive résumé, seen in the series ER, Third Watch and Sons of Anarchy, and on the big screen as far as Aquaman. He gives the commander a sharp-edged authority.
