Point of No Return is episode 11 of season 4 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2000.
A man named Martin Lloyd contacts the SGC: he knows about the Stargate, he talks about a hidden ship, and he swears he's an alien. The craziest part isn't that he's right, it's that his memories were stolen, and his former companions would do anything to keep it that way. O'Neill inherits the most absurd case of his career.
Why it matters to the mythology
Martin Lloyd will return for the meta Wormhole X-Treme! storyline: this episode establishes the character and his abandoned ship.
First appearance
The review
A paranoid spy comedy with a magnificent loser at its center: Willie Garson is irresistible as a depressed alien on medication. His pairing with an O'Neill at the end of his patience works wonderfully, and the ending, this poor guy who ultimately prefers to forget who he is, is more bitter than it looks. Light, funny and secretly sad. A genre success.
