A senator's daughter, thrown aboard Destiny without understanding a thing, Chloe could have been nothing but dead weight. She becomes the exact opposite: a survivor, transformed down to her very flesh by what the universe has in store for her.
Overview
Chloe Armstrong is the daughter of a US senator, present on the base at the worst possible moment. Thrown aboard Destiny, this young woman with no military or scientific training has to learn everything to find her place within a crew fighting for its survival.
History
At first, Chloe is lost, almost decorative. But the adventure forces her to grow: she makes herself useful, learns, and earns the respect of others. Her relationship with Lieutenant Scott gives her an anchor in this world of chaos.
Her fate takes a turn when she is captured by the Nakai, the mysterious aliens who hunt Destiny. Their experiments gradually transform her, physically and mentally, making her a being apart, on the border between human and unknown.
This fight to remain herself, while something alien grows inside her, makes Chloe one of the most poignant characters in the series: the one who pays, in her own body, the price of exploration.
The actor
Chloe is played by Elyse Levesque, a Canadian actress noticed in many series. She gives the character a mix of fragility and strength that makes her transformation all the more heartbreaking.
A demanding role, which she carries with great sensitivity throughout Stargate Universe.
