Enemies is episode 1 of season 5 of Stargate SG-1, first aired in 2001.
Lost in an unknown galaxy, SG-1's ship runs into its old nightmare: Apophis, hurled there by the same nova, and soon a third guest, a ship infested with Replicators. The mechanical spiders devour everything, Teal'c returns to the SGC... loyal to Apophis after being brainwashed, and the great serpent ends up devoured by something hungrier than himself.

The final death of Apophis, the original enemy, swallowed by the Replicators: a five-year chapter closes in chaos.
The review
What an exit for Apophis: no epic duel or trial, just the blind voracity of a threat greater than him, and that's precisely what makes the scene memorable. The episode piles up unsolvable problems at a breakneck pace and dares to leave a real scar: Teal'c comes back a fanatic. Peter Williams embodied five years of terror with unfailing class; the king is dead, eaten by the bugs. Brutal and perfect.
