Tracker is episode 9 of season 5 of Stargate Atlantis, first aired in 2008.
Keller is abducted in the middle of a humanitarian mission by a Runner: Kiryk, hunted as Ronon once was, needs a doctor for a wounded little girl he has taken under his protection. The Wraith hunt closes in, Ronon and McKay follow the trail, and two former prey end up face to face, each reading his own story in the other.
Why it matters to the mythology
A standalone episode: a second Runner to shed light on Ronon's past, and two suitors who discover they're rivals for Keller.
The review
A decent forest chase whose real engine is romantic: Ronon and McKay realize as they walk that they're chasing the same woman, and their awkward rivalry is worth more than the main plot. Kiryk, a Runner with a big heart, remains a slightly heavy-handed mirror of Ronon. The little girl is endearing, the transmitter explodes, everything returns to normal. A mid-season episode, pleasant and quickly digested.
