YouTube channel
Marco Maldini's channel has been devoted to the Stargate universe for years. Beyond convention recaps and interviews with the show's actors, what he loves making is content that connects reality to fiction. Stargate is full of references and inspirations drawn from the real world. The episode "Seth" echoes the 1993 Waco siege, while "Trinity" explicitly nods to J. Robert Oppenheimer. Marco starts from these echoes to tell the history, science or real events that fed the fiction. His goal: to stir emotions, the way the series Stargate Legacy does, while helping viewers learn something. For him, a video works when the viewer comes away thinking, "I learned something."

Raltor Kree is a French science fiction creator and a Stargate fan. He's mostly on Twitch, where he plays sci-fi games live and talks movies and video games too. He hosts guests in show formats of his own invention. His channel isn't only about Stargate, but the franchise comes up often. His long-form videos are where it shines: one on Stargate Universe asks whether the show simply arrived too early, and another pits Stargate, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica against each other to see what these shows say about us.

Passionate about sociology and social movements, she brings a perspective on the franchise you rarely find elsewhere: how Stargate was written and made at a specific moment in time, and what those choices say about that era. Her analyses are feminist and antiracist, and grounded in what is actually on screen. Her most-discussed video argues that Stargate was already "woke" for its time, and still is today. It's also the one that brought her the most harassment. She has also looked at the French version of the franchise, showing what broadcasters censored, the verbal tics that got dropped, the lost puns, and the storylines that changed from one language to the other. In the works: four in-depth reports on the Vancouver filming locations, where she went back two years ago to see what time had done to them.
