Overview
Dr. Wilhelm Brücke is the main antagonist of Stargate Origins. A high-ranking Nazi officer and a committed occultist, he sees the Stargate as a weapon and a source of power to bring back to the Third Reich, whatever the cost.
His story
Brücke seizes Professor Langford's discovery and forces his way through the Stargate, dragging his hostage into the unknown. Fanatical and unscrupulous, he embodies the chilling collision between Nazi ideology and a technology that is completely beyond him.
But his ambition will catch up with him. On the other side, he crosses paths with the Goa'uld Aset, and his fate tips into horror: now he's caught up in the power games of a genuine false god, far more formidable than he is.
Brücke is a reminder that at the very origins of the saga, the first humans to go through the Stargate were not heroes but executioners, and that the worst of humanity crashed the adventure very early on.
The actor
Brücke is played by Aylam Orian, an Israeli-born actor based in the United States. He gives the occultist Nazi all his unsettling coldness, playing one of the franchise's rare purely human big villains.
A memorable antagonist role for this prequel, where evil first wears a uniform, before it ever wears the mask of a god.
